WELCOME TO THE ST. MARK'S CHURCH PENSNETT WEBSITE

I am the Reverend Sue Oliver, the Priest in Charge of St. Mark's Church in Pensnett since February 2012 and as I was warmly welcomed at St. Mark's then, you too are most welcome.

This website has been designed to introduce aspects of the life and ministry of the Church. I hope you enjoy using it.

St. Mark's is a Church of England Church (Anglican) and is part of the Diocese of Worcester. http://www.cofe-worcester.org.uk Our principle purpose is the worship of God and working in and with our local community in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are known as the Cathedral of the Black Country. Many local people feel a strong sense of connection to St. Mark's Church because it has been the place of their family weddings and Christenings/Baptisms.

The building is a beautiful large Victorian building that can comfortably seat 250 persons, but with the capacity to seat more. We are a great venue for weddings, baptisms, our work with our local church school, St. Mark's Schoolhttp://www.st-marks.dudley.sch.uk meetings and other events.

St. Mark's Church was re-ordered (church speak for modernized) in 2006. It now has a good sized kitchen, three toilets, a designated Sunday School area, flexible tables and comfortable seating at the back of the church, and is open and light.

Which brings me to when the Church is actually open:

Details of our services are on other pages. Additionally, the Church is open on Wednesdays from 10.45 to around 4pm in term time (a little earlier at other times) and on Saturday mornings from 9.45 to around 1pm.

Do visit us to see this lovely church, enjoy using this site and feel welcome to join our services. You can be sure of a genuine and warm Black Country welcome!

The friendly congregation at St.Mark's wish you a very happy and blessed new year.
